Detroit Become Human - Chapter 14: The Nest
Chapter 14: The Nest
This chapter stars Connor and Hank again. After Hank goes to the food stand, exit the car yourself and walk over to him. When prompted, scan the environment. For this scan, you must scan the sanitation rating, the man that Hank is talking to, the man in the food stand, and Hank. After that, Hank finishes his conversation with the man, and then Connor converses with Hank. Just as before, these options are all landmines, but be nice to raise your reputation with him and mean to lower your reputation.
After the dialogue choice, you can scan both the burger and the soda as the clerk gives it to Hank. Hank goes and sits down now. You can watch the hockey on the television at the food stand, but otherwise, go over and talk to hank again. You will have unlocked many dialogue options with him since you scanned everything before. If you talk to him about Cholesterol, it raises Connor's reputation with him. Then, you can talk about the highway and learn more about Hank and deviants. Be truthful about doing your homework on Hank to raise Connor's reputation with him, and when Hank asks for a sincere judgment of himself, be nice to raise reputation and cold to lower it.
Soon, you enter a new crime scene. Here, go down the hall and examine the feathers on the ground, then knock on the door next to Hank. Knock again, and then Hank will open the door. Inside, go into the first room on the right, and read both pages of both issues of the magazine on the desk in this room. Go back to Hank now, who enters a room full of birds. The deviant appears to be gone, but there are several clues to find in this room.
*Press R2 and pan around the room to find all of the clues -- they are highlighted with the yellow symbol. The clues are as follows:
*The driver license in the bookshelf.
*The military jacket on the dresser next to the bookshelf.
The poster on the wall opposite the jacket. For this poster, you need to find two clues on it -- one near the words and the other on the top-right corner of the poster.
*Behind the poster, you will find a book. Browse through it.
*To the right of the poster, open the closet. Birds come out.
Open the fridge to find absolutely nothing inside. Sounds fishy.
*Inspect the kitchen counter to find that the suspect cars about animals.
*Inside the bathroom, inspect the writing on the wall.
*Look at the fallen chair on the ground in the corner of the bathroom. For this, analyze the inside of the chair and the opened pen parker on the ground in front of it.
*Analyzing the chair leads to a reconstruction event. For this, fast forward, press triangle, rewind, and press triangle again. Make note of the actions.
*Look in the sink in the bathroom. Sample the blue blood and take the LED.
*Back out in the main room with Hank, analyze the bird cage on the ground. There are three clues to analyze on it: the finger marks on the bottom of the cage, the metal hook above it, and the skid marks on bottom corner of the cage. This leads to another reconstruction event -- fast forward, rewind, and reconstruct the three parts.
You find out the suspect is still here. Go over to the closet and look up to find the suspect. Then, there is a chase sequence. What you do during the chase sequence determines the ending of the chapter. There are three possible endings: Rupert Committed Suicide, Rupert Got Away, and Connor Died Chasing Rupert. The best ending is probably "Rupert Got Away." To get this one, simply let the deviant run away from you. For "Rupert Committed Suicide," successfully chase the android all the way through, take the safe routes, do not fall at the train ledge jump, and choose to follow Rupert over saving Hank. And for "Connor Died Chasing Rupert," choose the risky routes when chasing him and fall at the train ledge jump.
In addition, for the chase sequence, the choice of whether to save Hank or follow Rupert has a large impact on your reputation with him. You gain major points by saving Hank; conversely, you lose significant reputation if you follow the deviant. Hank survives in both instances, however.
